ELIGIBILITY & GUIDANCE

The Lee County ARISE Foundation is soliciting applications for scholarships from high school seniors from Lee County Schools who intend to pursue a bachelor’s degree in education.  The ARISE Foundation will award a $1,500 Scholarship to each of the students selected.  The ARISE Foundation recognizes the importance of attracting quality young people into the teaching profession and desires to do all possible to achieve this goal.  

  • Applicants must have at least a 2.5 Grade Point Average (4 point scale) from 9th grade through first term of 12th grade.
  • Applicants must have at least 20 on the ACT or 950 on the SAT.

For Scholarship Winners

The ARISE Foundation will pay your scholarship money directly to the four year College or University you will be attending upon your declaration of Education as your major.  If you are awarded the ARISE Scholarship, it will be your responsibility to provide the following information to the ARISE Foundation:

  • Your full name – first, middle and last
  • Social Security Number
  • Name of the School (University)
  • Address of the School (University)
  • Documentation of acceptance into the College of Education
  • A letter from the office that will be accepting the check (Bursar’s Offfice, Office of Student Financial Aid, etc.)  This letter needs to include a contact person’s name
