Dear Friend of the Lee County School System:
The Alliance for Recognition of Innovation in School Excellence, ARISE Foundation, was formed as a tax exempt, non-profit organization to serve as a broker between private resources and our public schools. The foundation is designed to enhance the educational opportunities offered to each child by the Lee County School System.
The primary function of the ARISE Foundation is to raise money from corporations, businesses, and individual for the purpose of awarding $500 grants to teachers exhibiting excellence in educational endeavors. These grants allow our teachers to help the children of the Lee County School System grow and expand their education. In addition, the Foundation provides scholarships to deserving students graduating from the Lee County high schools who plan to study education in college in order to become future teachers. Since its beginning, ARISE has awarded over 370 teacher grants (about $185,000) and 60 scholarships totaling $77,000.
The ARISE Initiative serves several purposes, among them...
- To promote strong ties to our communities
- To address specific educational concerns and needs in our area
- To allow students to better themselves in and out of the classroom.
We ask you at this time to consider becoming a giving partner with our schools. These contributions are tax deductible through our 501C3 Foundation (ID# 63-1197746). Checks should be made payable to ARISE and mailed to the address at the bottom of this letter. Please be assured that your donation will result in a tremendous benefit to approximately 10,000 students in the Lee County School System. One hundred percent of all contributions go directly to deserving students and teachers; no administrative fees are ever paid to the Board or staff members for their time and efforts.
The goal of ARISE is to continue and improve good working relationships at all levels from student to teacher, friends, businesses and partnerships. It takes the support of everyone to be successful.

Thank you for your gift to the ARISE Foundation
There are many ways for you to actively support our drive for educational excellence. Among these are gifts of cash, securities, personal property, and real estate. There is also a planned giving which might include trust arrangements, bequests in wills and naming the ARISE Foundation beneficiary of a life insurance policy. In addition, Lee county School employees can make donation using Payroll Deductions.
We welcome every gift and deem each gift important. Every contribution will make a difference in the education of the children in the Lee County, Alabama School System.
If your gift is a memorial or in honor of an educator, or other person, we will send a card acknowledging your contribution without mentioning the amount.
